Whether you were watching yesterday or had other things on your mind, here are a few Instagram accounts to follow after yesterdays big day!
My daily dose of global uplifting news stories to keep your faith in humanity. I was tempted to post about all the Bernie memes, but I have now seen about 30 or more and couldn't post them all. Then I saw this post on his mittens and knew I had to include Upworthy on this list!
2. Elizabeth Holmes of "So Many Thoughts"
I started following @eholmes for her thoughts on Royal Fashion. She expands on how fashion choices have meaning beyond looking good. From choosing a designer to a color, it all has a reason (speculative on her end). She recently wrote a book on it! Yesterday, she had lots of thoughts on the fashion of important political players of yesterdays's Inauguration.
3. Amanda Gorman
A few years ago she was the nation's First Youth Poet Laureate recipient at just 19. Yesterday at 22 she shone like a star in bright yellow while reading her original composition "The Hill We Climb". I am excited to follow her along her journey and see what she does next!
MADAM VICE PRESIDENT has a good ring to it.
Honorable Mention: The Next Generation
I don't support young children being in the media spotlight as his younger grandchildren aren't adults yet. The eldest of his grandchildren is @naomibiden , who at 27, has a degree from Penn and a law degree from Columbia. She has been active on her social media during her grandfather's campaign and I am eager to see what the future holds for her! This article gives a more in-depth look at all the kids of the new first and second families.
